Find out how childhood interests can lead to careers in science
Sara learned to love nature during walks with her grandparents and she created a miniature "museum" for her family at age 6. As a herpetologist, Sara works to convey the value of understanding reptiles and amphibians. But being a scientist is just a part of who she is—with interests including fashion and poodles, Sara shows us that you don't need to compromise who you are to be a stellar scientist!
The Changing Face of Science: Sara Ruane opens April 11, 2025.
