Join us for Eras After Dark: A Field Museum Homecoming, a 21+ after-hours celebration of science, nostalgia, and all the decades that shaped us. Whether your first visit to the Field Museum was on a school field trip or last week, this night is all about time travel—through Earth’s history and your own.
Explore immersive lounges that blend prehistoric eras with the pop culture decades you grew up in. From the lava-lamp-lit Precambrian to the neon-soaked Paleozoic, each space offers themed cocktails, quirky superlatives, hands-on science stations, and retro-inspired photo ops.
- Precambrian / 1970s – Psychedelic vibes meet Earth’s earliest life
- Paleozoic / 1980s – Big hair, bigger evolutionary leaps
- Mesozoic / 1990s – Jurassic icons and scientific surprises
- Cenozoic / 2000s – New century, new species and a whole new groove
Plus, head “back to school” where you’ll test your science knowledge, bust myths you grew up with, and maybe even earn an A+ report card. Then, step onto the ultimate time-travel dance floor, where dinos and disco collide. Which Field Museum icon will become homecoming royalty?

Groups purchasing 15 tickets or more can purchase at the group rate of $55 per guest. Please fill out the Group Ticket Form to begin the purchase process.
